According to the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, Falke, a German textile factory, is intending to construct a factory in Southern Serbia, which would generate jobs for 600 people.
Choosing Serbia as a potential location, Falke is planning to expand production. For the same, representatives of the company, in a meet with the Minister of Economy of Serbia, Mladan Dinkic, expressed their readiness to invest in Serbia and employ 600 people. Despite visiting several potential locations for their production capacities, Falke’s representative found southern Serbia of interest, because of its traditionally well-developed textile industry and skilled manpower. The Ministry informs that, Falke is expecting to receive support from the Government of Serbia and local self-government, during the setting up of the plant. Supporting this idea, Dinkic said that the state will provide due assistance through foreign investment stimulus programme, which is carried out by the Investment and Export Promotion Agency of Serbia.
This programme, assigns 2,000 to 5,000 euros, per every newly employed worker. Falke representatives were also introduced to other stimulus packages, which the Government offers to foreign investors.
