Project abstract:

he purpose of Project Adaptive patient mattress is to prevent decubitus (bedsore) creating by immovable patient and lingering lying, the pain eliminating by local sensitive area on body due to body pressure, improving blood circulation and automate massage activating with advantages that it bringing. The base of mattress development is earlier patented solution by professors of Faculty of textile technology, University of Zagreb, in Department of clothing technology. The construction ensure, depending on medical staff wish, elimination of mattress response on patient body at any place and thereby ensure blood flow as well as pain mitigation at irritated or damaged places on body. The selection of appropriate massage for circulation improving is also possible.

The doctor can follow health condition of several patients at monitor, i.e. patient body parts load at surface and respond according to circumstances. The solution aim is specially formed bladders that are filling and refilling with compressed air. They are controlled by control unit and specially developed SW program.

For this purpose it is designed, and from the same professor group earlier patented, the coordinate multi-valve. It, based on obtained address from computer, fills or vents compressed air from exactly referred bladder.
