Kick-off meeting was held at the premises of Lead partner (LP) SERDA in Sarajevo on 25-26th March 2024. The opening presentation was held by Amela Ikic Suljagic LP1 who shortly presented how it all began, starting from Idea to Initiative via Gathering to Project and Action. Through the project, partners will learn and transfer knowledge and experience from EU countries to less practice EU and IPA countries. Partnership consisted of project partners (PPs) from both good practice territories (SK, SI, HR) and territories that are less advanced on the topics of circular economy (in particular: B&H, ME, RS, RO).
Tadeja Colnar Leskovšek (PP3) NATIVA, presented specific objective SO1: Creating Green-Tex Solutions, and first project deliverable D1.1.1: Workshop for Reaffirming Circular Economy Principles in Textile Sector to be achieved next day through implementation of the workshop with all PPs included to frame circular economy principles.
SO.2. Testing Green-Tex Solutions and its activities were presented by Ms Amela Ikic Suljagic (LP1), Jana Mazúchová (PP4), Ante Čakarić (PP6), Sandra Bischof (PP7) and Ivan Jovetić.
SO.3. Capitalizing and Transferring Green-Tex Solutionsand its activities were presented by Timea Tóth-Mucsi (PP11) and Amela Ikic Suljagic (LP1).
Mr. Zoltan Bendo from South-Transdanubian Regional Innovation Agency, Hungary introduced sister project Tex-Dan on behalf of the Tex-Dan project consortium. After a discussion, the focus was on administrative requirements related to reporting, the meeting was concluded with a note to all partners that deadlines for the execution of activities, achievement of deliverables and reporting must be respected.
The first meeting of the Steering Committee was held in the afternoon hour.
The workshop for Reaffirming Circular Economy Principles in Textile Sector was held during the second day. The workshop was facilitated by Tadeja Colnar Leskovšek, (PP3) Nativa. Two topics were covered in the workshop:
- Project regions’ presentation of the experience in sustainable textile sector
All PPs presented experiences and best practices in the field of sustainable textile sector in their respective regions. Also, each project partner elaborated on how the Green-Tex project will contribute to sustainability of the textile and garment sector in their region.
- Conclusions on vision, objectives, and goals of circular economy principles in textile sector in partner regions.
All PPs concluded that they share the same vision, objectives, and goals of circular economy principles in textile sector in their regions.
