This year’s 11th Open Day – Textile Science Research Center (TSRC) under the title: POWER OF DOMESTIC WOOL – THROUGH SUSTAINABILITY TO INNOVATION was organized in cooperation with the INTERREG DRP0200404 Green-Tex project, on September 24, 2025, at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Zagreb.
As part of the event, expert lectures were held, along with an accompanying exhibition and numerous workshops.
The lectures were held in two sections. The first section was opened by Prof. Dr. H. Cebulla from the partner institution Technische Universitaet Chemnitz, who presented the current state of the wool industry in Germany.

MARKUS KRÜGER: ADVANTAGES OF FUNCTIONAL WOOL PROCESSING
An accompanying exhibition was also held, which included works by artists from the Faculty of Textile Technology (Koraljka Kovač Dugandžić and Marijana Tkalec), as well as former students of TTF: Lana Radnić and Ivona Pleše from the company The LoopLab, and Ivana Biočina from the Institute for Sustainable Fashion (IOM). The collection “Dance of the Infinite Thread” was presented, created by students of the School of Fashion and Design (ŠMID), under the mentorship of Prof. Branka Kožuh.

A special feature of this year’s TSRC Open Day 2025 were the numerous workshops showcasing the possibilities of wool processing and its various applications.
The Head of the Textile Science Research Center, Prof. Dr. Sandra Bischof, thanked all lecturers, exhibition authors, workshop organizers, as well as participants, employees of the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (ASSO), and the media who covered this event, which also marked the 17th anniversary of the Textile Science Research Center.
