This year\u2019s 11th Open Day \u2013 Textile Science Research Center (TSRC) under the title: POWER OF DOMESTIC WOOL \u2013 THROUGH SUSTAINABILITY TO INNOVATION<\/strong> was organized in cooperation with the INTERREG DRP0200404 Green-Tex project, on September 24, 2025, at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum in Zagreb.<\/p>\n As part of the event, expert lectures were held, along with an accompanying exhibition and numerous workshops.<\/p>\n The lectures were held in two sections. The first section was opened by Prof. Dr. H. Cebulla from the partner institution Technische Universitaet Chemnitz, who presented the current state of the wool industry in Germany.<\/p>\n HOLGER CEBULLA: CHALLENGES IN WOOL WASHING IN GERMANY<\/p>\n The following lectures were given:<\/p>\n \u017dELJKO KNEZI\u0106: <\/strong>FROM SHEEP TO YARN<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n TIHANA DEKANI\u0106: HOW TO ECOLOGICALLY WASH WOOL?<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n SNJE\u017dANA FIR\u0160T ROGALE: THE SECRET OF WOOL THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Lecturers TSRC Open Day 2025, Section 1: Klementina Karanovi\u0107 (for \u017deljko Kanezi\u0107, Sandra Bischof, Holger Cebulla, Snje\u017eana Fir\u0161t Rogale and Tihana Dekani\u0107)<\/p><\/div>\n The following lectures were held in the second section:<\/p>\n IVA BRLEK: WOOL DYED WITH NATURAL DYES<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n JASMINKA GR\u0160KOVI\u0106: INNOVATIVE APPLICATION OF PRAMENKA SHEEP WOOL<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n TATJANA FILIPI: <\/strong>PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC FERTILIZER FROM RAW WOOL<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n MARKUS KR\u00dcGER: <\/strong>ADVANTAGES OF FUNCTIONAL WOOL PROCESSING<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n An accompanying exhibition was also held, which included works by artists from the Faculty of Textile Technology (Koraljka Kova\u010d Dugand\u017ei\u0107 and Marijana Tkalec), as well as former students of TTF: Lana Radni\u0107 and Ivona Ple\u0161e from the company The LoopLab, and Ivana Bio\u010dina from the Institute for Sustainable Fashion (IOM). The collection \u201cDance of the Infinite Thread\u201d was presented, created by students of the School of Fashion and Design (\u0160MID), under the mentorship of Prof. Branka Ko\u017euh.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Branka Ko\u017euh, School of Fashion and Design, Zagreb: Dance of the Infinite Thread<\/p><\/div>\n A special feature of this year\u2019s TSRC Open Day 2025 were the numerous workshops showcasing the possibilities of wool processing and its various applications.<\/p>\n The Head of the Textile Science Research Center, Prof. Dr. Sandra Bischof, thanked all lecturers, exhibition authors, workshop organizers, as well as participants, employees of the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum, the Agency for Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education (ASSO), and the media who covered this event, which also marked the 17th anniversary of the Textile Science Research Center.<\/p>\n Abstracts are available on our website in the Book of Abstracts of the 2025 TSRC Open Day<\/a><\/p>\n![\"Lecturers](\"https:\/\/tsrc.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/tsrc-2.jpg\")
