Textile Science Research Center (TSRC) was established in October of 2008 at University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology.
TSRC primary purpose is to encourage, coordinate and continuously develop scientific research or artistic research work at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology and its correlation with other international and national scientific institutions and industry.
♦ TSRC overall objective is to achieve recognition of Croatian scientific research work in the textile, clothing and related areas and supporting industrial development.
♦ TSRC Specific objectives are:
◊ promotion of excellence of scientific research or artistic-research and development of interdisciplinary research.
◊ Strategic partnerships with major domestic and international centers and institutes and business entities.
◊ Coordination strategy of scientific research or artistic and research work in collaboration with international and / or local economic operators.
◊ Define the priority scientific research or artistic research topics in coordination with international and / or local economic operators.
TSRC is the core research in the field of textiles and clothing, and his researchers were equally involved in the European Research Area (European Research Area – ERA). Center monitors and follows the activities of the European technological platform for the future of textiles and clothing (European Technology Platform (ETP) for the Future of Textiles and Clothing (FTC), as well as the initiative of leading the market Lead Market Initiative (LMI).
TSRC will as a leading center of excellence in research and development (R & D)
within the sector of textiles and clothing to enable rapid scientific and technological development and thus significantly contribute to the development of this economic sector.
TSRC offers scientific-research and consulting in the field of textiles and clothing. These services will be significantly improved measures of project funds and FP7-REGPOT-2008-1: Unlocking the Croatian Textile Research Potentials (T-Pot), financed by the European Commission in the period from 1 March 2009 to 31 August 2011th
